The Harrisons
Carolina By Harrison Grady 11.16.05 A dewdrop on a petal, fair, a glint on a ruby ring, the hints of blue in your eyes, dance like the joy that your laughter brings. Your endless enjoyment of museums and art, pervades our home's eclectic feel, while the bubbling enthusiasm that you start, energizes me with artistic zeal. When I look at the dragons in my room, I reminisce about our wonderful trip, about Siem Reap and the Oriental's rooms, and the Grand Hotel and the drinks we sipped. When your students exclaim what a teacher you are, and how you're hilarious and really nice, I am proud and I thank my lucky stars, to have you as my mother and your blue eyes. Because without you I could not make this rhyme, or famously laugh at 'inappropriate times.' |
